Well, I finally got my cast off of my arm yesterday morning! Freedom! I have a really bruised upper arm from the tourniquet, but that is to be expected and will fade over time. Movement of my arm is actually pretty good, although it's a bit sore at times. So, I will use my sling off and on when it's getting to be bothersome. The incision in my arm is roughly 4" long...but it looks like it's healing really well so far. Surgeons moved an ulnar nerve near my elbow, and it will heal at about a rate of one millimeter per day...yes, one millimeter per day. So, it will be a couple months for sure for my arm to fully heal the way doctors are expecting.
